Eric Plume asked Nenia Campbell:

In your recent review of "Flame of Savannah" you said this: "I know a lot of you guys following me swear that bodice rippers/vintage romance novels aren't for you, but I urge you to pick this one up if you're at all interested in reading these types of books." My question is "Why this book in particular?" No offense meant, but your review (while well written) doesn't make the reason clear.

Nenia Campbell FLAME OF SAVANNAH is a vintage novel that isn't about bodice-ripping. It's got no dub-con or non-con in it, and all the female characters are well developed and autonomous; it's a nice way to experience the vintage "style" without some of the more controversial drawbacks. Plus, it's only 99-cents.
