Hi there! I am presenting your book, "What she knew" at our Library Event - "An Evening for Book Lovers" in a week. Is there anything you can tell me from your experience writing this book that I can offer to the audience? Thanks, Shirley

Hi Shirley! Thanks for getting in touch. I'm honoured that you will be presenting 'What She Knew' at your event. Thank you!! I have written a lot in interviews and in the material at the back of 'What She Knew' about the writing process and what has happened since the book has been published, but if I were to pick two things out I would say that 'What She Knew' is proof that if you are an aspiring writer you should hold your nerve, keep going and stick to what you think will make people turn pages (any reader will know the pleasure of a book that can do that). I wrote the book secretly and never thought it would be published! . I would also add that one of the best things about 'What She Knew' being out in the world has been finding a connection with readers, whether via a character they relate to, a plot point we can discuss or something else. I wrote the book from my heart, as a mother, and I tried hard to make it emotionally truthful. I hope your readers enjoy it if they pick it up! Many thanks & I hope you have an enjoyable evening, Gilly

I won 'Odd Child Out' in a giveaway and never received it. Any idea on when I will?

I am reading "What She Knew" and have come across something I wanted to ask you about. On page 238, Rachel goes into Ben's room ... "I sank onto the beanbag on the floor of his room..." Then on page 239... "I got out of Ben's bed..." Is this simply an error in proof reading or there to confuse the reader as to Rachel's state of mind?
