Goodreads asked Nish Amarnath:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Nish Amarnath My advice for aspiring writers is to find your unique voice, what ever that is. To find your unique voice, it is important to drop all the masks that we sometimes tend to wear as we assume various roles in society. To be a good writer, it's paramount to be one's real self and bare one's soul. It's also good to stay abreast of current news and developments, historical events, etc., and read various genres and formats voraciously. Traveling also helps, if you get a chance to do so. When I say traveling, I don't mean the regular tourist's travel--but rather exploring the less explored areas, venturing deep into the unknown and absorbing the vibe of the place and its people. To be a writer, one must be ready to leap off one's comfort zone.
