Don't think too much. Just write, keep on refining it. Read it multiple times. And in the end, you will have a much better product. There are some writers who prefer to write in a single flow. Perhaps this works for them. For me, it has to be multiple iterations.

You have listed Isaac Asimov in your influences section. I am having a hard time getting around reading his books. And that's because I don't know where to start and I have never read any Sci-Fi before. SO, would you please recommend me a good first book to read written by Isaac Asimov?
