Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

P.D. Alleva my most recent book is the upcoming dystopian sci-fi 'The Rose'. The story first came to me about ten years ago with the idea of an underground compound and a freedom fighter who must enter the compound in order to rescue a highly important character in the rebellion. Over the years the story evolved due to my fanatical interests in ancient alien and conspiracy theories. I chose the title after learning and researching alchemy practices. The rose is a meditation practiced by alchemists. Alchemy is the ability to transform chemical structures. Also a useful weapon when battling alien vampires. I always believed that having such a super power would be really cool, bending chemistry and physics with a single thought would be bad ass. Hence 'The Rose'. The book is set to be published in September 2020 but I'll be doing a lot of promotions and giveaways before then.
