Michael Robotham Hi Holley. THE NIGHT FERRY is my wife's favourite book. That book was written more than a decade ago and I'm not sure I would risk writing it today. Novelists now risk being accused cultural appropriation if we write stories featuring characters of a different race or culture. Alisha Barba is Anglo-Indian from a traditional Sikh family, born and bred in England. lt was a great challenge for me to capture her voice and breathe life into her on the page. Happy reading.

After finishing The Other Wife, I started reading Life or Death and was surprised and thrilled that not only was it set in Texas but it also featured The Woodlands which is my hometown. What made you want to write a book based in Texas?
