Lori Alden Holuta
Lori Alden Holuta asked John K. Addis:

I didn't realize you were part of The Bells of Beaumont Tower! I started at MSU back in the McPherson era. I've seen your film - many times. So good. Made any other films since then?

John K. Addis Hello! Humbled and very embarrassed that you saw my film more than once! It was a project I wrote and directed as a four-part public access series, using unpaid friends as actors and (obviously) a budget of $0. It was kind of an offshoot of my previous public access series "Studentangle" which I created based on my 2000-2001 daily comic strip of the same name in The State News (back when it was a daily paper).

I keep saying one of these days I'm going to release The Bells of Beaumont Tower on YouTube in its original four-part format, but I want to "remaster" it a bit to make it less grainy first (it was shot on a $400 camcorder, after all.) So, stay tuned.

I run a design and marketing firm these days which definitely produces a lot of video work, but rarely in the creative fiction arena. You can find a couple old short films of mine on the WJKLATV channel on YouTube ("Sound" and "Hola! Soy Evil" are fun), or if you want to see the OTHER thing I made devoted to Beaumont Tower, search for "Bells: The True Story of McPherson's Retirement". Fair warning, though: it won't make any sense if you're not familiar with Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Thanks for writing!
