Goodreads asked Rod Palmer:

Can you tell us a two-sentence horror story?

Rod Palmer He thought he was still dreaming when the airy voice between his ears tells him to stop at the mirror to view all the demons that lurk inside of him, but at the mirror, instead of demons, he saw men – men he recognized from their mugshots, men like Fred Graber who killed his neighbor and for months cashed the man’s social security checks; Archie Bevlin the post office shooter; Jared Fink who had a preteen girl age to womanhood in his underground bunker. In a blink, the man sees himself in the mirror, his eyes slender and cunning, but the room has change on him; he is looking into his home from the other side, from a window, not a mirror; the killers now beside him, while in front of him, a darker self swipes the straight razor off the sink, leaves, and seconds later, the man hears his wife scream and then gurgle.
