Kathy Reichs I took a year off to rest. I was diagnosed with an unruptured cerebral aneurysm. For a while everything was fine, everything in place and then the little bubble decided to do some shape shifting. I underwent an embolization. Since the surgery, I experience the occasional migraine, but otherwise all is well.

You have written so many books. How do you come up with your ideas so that they aren't cookie cutter books as I am finding that most authors' who have serial characters the ending is easy to guess. Your are fresh and it's tough to guess the ending. What's your secret?
