How would Gavin react to a female character that was stronger than him in all ways( like physical strength, attractiveness, intelligence, chess skills...) ? Pretty much someone he couldn’t really defeat but still retained her femininity

I think he respects strength, even if he isn't attracted to it. Similar to how he thought of Lisa in Horrorscape. He's a misogynist and a predator, though, and what he really wants is someone who he can control and possess.

Dear Nenia, I'm working on an academic study of Native American themed romantic novels, and am trying to establish where the modern version of the genre has its roots (beyond, say, Puritan captivity narratives and The Last of the Mohicans). The earliest novel of this type I can find is Janelle Taylor's Savage Ecstasy, and I've just read your review of the book in which you call it the OG of Native American romances?
