First of all I'd like to say that you are gorgeous. You're highly intelligent and your novels indicate that. Being a retired scientist, I have read all your books. The BESt book you've written, in my humble opinion, is "Two Nights". Do you do a lot of research before you begin a novel or is the material drawn from your vast experiences in Quebec and NC?

Wow! Thank you. I am fanatical about research and keeping the science accurate. I feel like my readers choose my novels because they want to learn something as well as be entertained.

Kathy, I've read every book since the first one! I love the series. I'm a reader, and eventually gave up on the tv show. It seemed like more of a prequel to the books. How do you keep the character of Tempe so vibrantly alive after all these years? I am a retired security consultant and private investigator. I would have loved to have had her in my life throughout my long career.
