Goodreads asked Brianne Moore:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Brianne Moore I lean into it and take it as a sign that it's time for a break. I don't see any point in trying to power through it--I know I'll just end up frustrated and the writing will be terrible. Better to step away and have a breather. There have been times I've been blocked up for months, and that's ok. I've concentrated on other things, and eventually the desire to write came back. Most of the time it doesn't last that long--I just need some time away from my computer. I'll make a pot of tea, maybe take a walk or a run (I find that getting out of the house is one of the best cures!). Writing is tiring. It takes energy. Sometimes you need to recharge. Do it!
