How did you decide to begin writing YA books and do you recommend them to older readers of your Tempe Brennan books?

I wrote the Virals series with my son Brendan. Often at book signings I would be asked if my Temperance Brennan series would be appropriate for a younger audience, and the details of dismemberment, or scavenged remains seemed a bit too intense. So we came up with the idea for Virals and Tory is Temperance Brennan's great-niece.

Love love your books,I have all of them, the first 2 in paperback the rest digital. Just started your recent one. Hard question to ask without possibly exposing the end of A conspiracy of bones, are you ending Temp's journey? I have always wonder how does a writer decide when and how to write that final book?

I've read all 18 of the Tempe books and look forward to reading the next one. So much better & different than the "Bones" tv show, although I like that also. I was wondering if you will ever write a sequel to, or continue the "Two Nights" novel. I really liked the characters and story?
