Goodreads asked Ruth Tearle:

How do you get inspired to write?

Ruth Tearle It starts with a strong emotion. Anger. Fear. Frustration. I then think about what it would take to replace that emotion with something that makes me feel better. Inspired. Happy. Or filled with passion and energy.
If it is a fiction book, like "Blackboards, Bubbles & Cappuccinos" or "Ride the Wild Tiger" the characters linked to the emotion emerge.

If it's non fiction, then I work out how to move a team or organization to where teams feel motivated, creative and full of energy - while achieving a goal. Like "Innovate!, the employees guide to innovation." or "The CEO's guide to strategy." or "Organizational Development, how to choose the right intervention."
