I ALWAYS tell aspiring and even established authors to be your own harshest critic. Don't indulge yourself in thinking you are the next Heather Graham or J.D. Robb just because you've strung 50,000 words together. It sounds harsh to hear but if you want to be the best you have to be honest with yourself and hardest on yourself! If you are then others won't have to be.
