I'm currently writing my first novel and my deadline is March 22nd, but I'm only halfway done what should I do?

Nenia Campbell Is this for a publisher/submission? I don't actually deal with anything like that, so I'm not 100% sure what the protocol is, but if it were me, I would email explaining my circumstances and then politely ask for an extension with details of my current progress and an estimation of how long I think it might take to finish.
