Making fictional characters based on real people is usually how it works in Hollywood. Your agent might want to do a little research?

As for Radium Girls, I believe the Netflix film was being filmed almost simultaneously to me researching and writing my book, so they're two completely separate creative endeavours, simply inspired by the same true events - albeit handled very differently!
