Are you going to let Miles have his day in the sun? You allude to his secrets aging out in "Gentleman Jole and the Red Queen". It would be a blast to have it as a domestic comedy, similar to "A Civil Campaign". After all, once one secret is out, all the rest come out.

...Not just in this context, I reflect that there is an interesting sort of readerly mania, or perhaps narrative tension, that if a secret is shown a story, it must be Outed before the end. I wonder why that is. Conditioning by the mystery genre...?

After reading Masquerade in Lodi, I am now rereading all the Penric books, as there were references in the new one that didn't quite ring a bell. And just this morning, a memory popped up. There is a real town called Lodi, in the central valley of California. Were you aware of it? Credence Clearwater even wrote a song about it, with the chorus: Oh Lord, I'm Stuck in Lodi Again. Oh, and THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

I Whole-heartily Love All Your Books. I've read (or listened) to all of them at least twice. Re-listening to the Sharing Knife series for the 4th time currently. Recently I re-read The Spirit Ring novel. Like all your works, it was wonderfully done. There were so many possibilities and hints for more. Please forgive me if you've already answered this, but why was there no Follow-up to The Spirit Ring?
