Goodreads asked Troy Clark:

How do you get inspired to write?

Troy Clark I MUST feel passionate about a topic to write on. For me, a full length book (70,000 words or more) is a 1 year commitment. Once I start, I do not stop, until it is finished. This soul-felt passion is what endures and carries me through to a book's conculsion during times of doubt, confusion, and just plain ole rough days. It starts with a truth I want to explore, define, or clarify. This is the soul of a book. Next are chapter segments that forms a skeleton for the book's topic structure. Research data, fun facts, history, humor, illustrations, all become meat content on the skeletal bones of a book. Proofreaders and editing are "personal trainers" that shape a book into peak fitness. Graphics and a classy book cover are cosmetic trappings that make a book more attractive on its exterior. This is an arduous yet rewarding journey that takes high commitment, boundless mental energy, and a real desire to serve humanity in a positive way.
