How do you deal with writer’s block?

Rachael Ritchey I haven't had too much trouble with writer's block at this stage in the game, but I'd say that if you are feeling like you can't move forward then step back and look at the big picture. Maybe it would be helpful to do a little flash fiction to clear your brain. When I was feeling a little stuck writing the Beauty Thief I would start to imagine what I wanted to the cover to look like and what I wanted it to reveal about the story. I spent a lot of time using PaintShop and/or my Dixon Ticondaroga #2 pencil to create artwork and cover designs. That was a great way for me to refocus and kept me creative at the same time.
