Shannon Messenger Editing and deadlines ARE grueling--especially for the KEEPER books, since they're so incredibly long and complex. So I'm still not done yet, but I'm finally getting close. I have one more deadline this month and once I meet it, that should be the last big hurdle. But after that I still have several more stages like Copyedits and a stage called "First Pass" where I get to see the actual typeset pages and check for any final polishes I want to make. It's funny how much being an author is like a game of Hot Potato, and every time I toss the draft back to my publisher they mark it up and toss is back to me. :)
