What gave you the idea to write a book were books are like tunnels to another world?

Cornelia Funke I think since I followed C.S.Lewis through the wardrobe in his Narnia-books i loved books to give me those doors. I was raised in a small town in Germany and books gave me doors and windows to a bigger world. They were the promise that this world is so much more exciting than the small town. And it is! Books often take us to other worlds but I think that way they also open our eyes for the beauty and magic of this world. For all the worlds we create with your imagination are always just mirrors of this one!

Hi, Cornelia. I've been a big fan of your books since Elementary school (I'm now 19). I was just wondering if there was any talk of an Inkspell movie/tv show.
