Hi. I feel intrigued by all the adults stories. Do think you will write a book pre-moonlark (when like when Dame Alina was a kid)? & if so who do you think you will write about?

I get this question a lot--and while I've learned to "never say never" to anything (and yay for finding the adult characters intriguing!), the problem with any sort of prequel type story is that it's really hard for the plot to have any surprises or real stakes, because you already know who lived, who died, who married whom, who ended up alone, etc. So no matter how many new things people learn about those characters, it still ends up feeling flat compared to the other series. Maybe someday I'll figure out a way to avoid that particular pitfall. But at the moment, I suspect that if I ever were to do a spinoff series, it'd be set after Sophie's story rather than before (though I can't guarantee that'll ever happen either. Right now my brain is so focused on Sophie's story that it's hard to think through what other stories I might tell).

First can I just say THANK YOU for accepting my friend request! Even though you already have a ton of friends! Second, I was wondering, since you're on Goodreads enough to answer questions and accept friend requests, do you ever look at the profiles of your friends? And also Do you think you could have an event somewhere in Utah? I'm in Utah and I don't think my parents would let me go to Texas just to go to an event.
