Do you get pressure from your publisher and/or your readers to make your novels more explicitly erotic?

Kristan Higgins Nope! I like to write sexy up to a point, and then we close the door. I've gotten overwhelmingly positive notes from readers about this; they like the fact that their teenage daughter or grandmother can read the books comfortably. Once, though, I got a note urging me to go a little further with the love scenes. She said, "I'm 87 years old and have to get my jollies somehow." I loved that!

Hi Kristan. Cambry-On-Hudson was the setting for If I Only Knew. Now it is also featured in On Second Thought. Is it patterned after an actual place? If so, what place(s) did you visit? BTW, I am not from the East Coast (at all). I was born and raised in the Midwest but now live in the SW. I love reading about town, places and settings out East that I can only imagine. Thanks!
