I generally have several manuscripts in progress at any one time.
If I slow down with ideas for one I let it rest and move on to another, whichever one catches my interest.
I currently have nine manuscripts on the go... yes nine! Some are non-fiction and some fiction. They range from being in the concept stage to nearing completion.
I think in this way, I never really get writer's block. The best ideas take priority.
For me, writing is a highly addictive and fascinating process. It is part of my everyday life!
