What made you fall in love with Shakespeare?

Ian Doescher I was really into theater when I was younger, and my freshman year in high school here we were reading a play (Othello) in English class! I was that nerd who, when we had to memorize a soliloquy, was the first one to raise my hand to perform it. Also, I think I knew Shakespeare was somebody you were *supposed* to like, so I made an extra effort and would up loving him. Finally, the summer after my sophomore year was when Kenneth Branagh came out with his Much Ado About Nothing movie adaptation. That sealed the deal for me -- I was sold on Shakespeare from then on.
