Even better than Lord of the Rings, have you considered Shakespearian versions of some classic 80s films: 16 Candles, The Goonies, The Princess Bride (for example)?

I'd really love to do (and have thought about doing) The Princess Bride -- I think it would be fun to mix elements of the book and the movie. The main thing is whether we could get the rights for it. We'll see!

As someone who has only dabbled in Shakespeare, (Mainly through Macbeth) I feel it's because I'm mostly turned off by the old time language which is too cryptic for my tastes. Regardless where would you say is a good place to start in terms of his plays, so I am able to get used to his writing style?
