Paul Foley
Paul Foley asked Simon Sebag Montefiore:

I have read the 'Stalin, court of the red tsar' and really enjoyed it. The detail and information was fantastic. How did it take you to write it? How much work goes into a book like that? Thanks Paul

Olly L-J
Olly L-J asked Simon Sebag Montefiore:

Do you prefer writing fiction or non-fiction? Why?

Paul Salsini
Paul Salsini asked Simon Sebag Montefiore:

Hello, Mr. Montefiore: Sorry for this long intro:: I just published the sixth of a series, set in a village in Tuscany, that follows characters from WWII to 2000. I often felt the characters were inside my head and writing their stories. Now I can't get rid of them. So my question is: Do you still think a lot about the people in "One Night in Winter" and "Sashenka" and all the others? How does an author let go?
