Goodreads asked Cheryl Matthynssens:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Cheryl Matthynssens I always leave off in the middle of a paragraph even if I know how the paragraph should end. When I do that, I never get writer's block. I have a harder time fighting procrastination. If I sit down to write, I almost always can just hammer out at least a rough first draft. Even if it sucks, it has enough of a skeleton to begin to build on in the rewrite process.

However, getting myself to sit down and write. There is the problem. I can always find a reason not to write right now. I don't know why I do that because I love to write. I think it is because once I start writing, the world around me disappears. It is just me, the keyboard and a foreign world.
