I had to think about this one for a bit. I would say that Rick and Ilsa remain my favorite characters, they are out of Casablanca. I think they remain my favorite as it takes an act of true love to let someone go because it is what is best for them. Not everyone has such depth of love for another, most just look out for what they want. Rick could have had Elsa easily, but sacrificed his affections despite the ease of attainment.
