Goodreads asked Nish Amarnath:

How do you get inspired to write?

Nish Amarnath I am a sensitive person and I feel the slightest feelings quite intensely. This usually inspires me to create different story-lines and characters and formulate their responses to different tasks and situations. I am also synesthetic in that I see words and numbers as different shapes and colours of varying shades, gradients and textures. So, for me, books are not just black and white. Instead, books are conduits to parallel worlds and alternate realities. They are full of colour, emotion, adventure and hope. I also like to draw upon my own experiences and other real-world instances or trends to keep my fiction simple, compelling and realistic even if my characters may be complex embodiments of yin and yang.
