At the end of “The Beast of Talesend” (Beaumont & Beasley book 1) you revealed the name of book 2 to be “The Stroke of Eleven”. However, that book actually ended up being published as book 3. So did you rearrange the order of the series from your original plan or did you specifically come up with “The Tomb of the Sea Witch” to be inserted between book 1 and “The Stroke of Eleven”? And what made you decide to do that?

Kyle Robert Shultz You must have a very old copy of Beast. :) I guess there are still a few floating around out there with the wrong book 2 listed; the current ones don’t have that. I believe I intended for Stroke of Eleven to be book 2 right after I published Beast, but that was only my plan for about a month or so before I switched to the current order. The books were written in the order which the series currently reflects. As to why I made that decision, I believe it was to improve the character arcs, though it’s been a long time so I can’t say for sure.
