Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Lorii Myers My most recent book is called Stream of Consciousness: Break the Silence. It's a Mystery / Thriller based in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain.

I got the idea to write this book while anticipating my (at the time, in 2012) upcoming vacation in Tenerife. I had been reading about what to do and what to see when I stumbled on a rather upsetting true report of a beheading which had taken place the year before and my intrigue and imagination went viral. Before long my characters were born and set free, becoming more powerful and dramatic every day.

I often feel that they wrote the book. I was just lucky enough to go along for the wicked 'nail-biting' ride.

This is my first fiction novel, but it will not be my last.

I must admit, I surprised myself with this one.
