Excerpt From Book 1 in the Series
Bitter Memories: A Memoir of Heartache & Survival:
It was late in the day when Janet came into my room, jerking me out of sleep. Grabbing my hair, she pulled me outside and over to the big tree.
"Since you like this fuckin' tree so much, you can eat its dirt!"
She shoved my head into a hole she'd dug near the trunk, holding the back of my head and neck tightly. The grit clawed at my face as I struggled against her grip. The damp, musty smell of the dirt pulled the breath out of me.

Next blog will be an excerpt from Trophy Murders, Book 2 where I continue my story after going to live with Uncle Henry (a cop) and his heavy-handed wife, Olivia. A life, by the way, I wouldn’t wish on any kid. Trophy Murders also includes an action-packed crime story about a gang of serial killers (straight from my vivid imagination) as my uncle tries to bring solace back to our small little town.
To learn more about my story of surviving extreme child abuse, the other two books in this series, and also my book of poetry, please visit my website. Currently working on the 4th in the series.
