Book Descriptions + One Review for Each and a SURPRISE Coming!

Short clips about my books, including one review for each and the amazon link for the Kindle Edition:PLUS an upcoming surprise is hidden somewhere in this post.

Bitter Memories, Book 1 - non-fiction:
Is the true story of my life after being kidnapped by my father, then for six years living a life of hell while on the run, hungry, abused and terrified...so terrified that I split into multiple personalities in order to survive...Bitter Memories is not a feel-good book. The language is raw, the content is graphic, but there is no way to sugarcoat child abuse.

I was referred to this book by my daughter. Whom encouraged me that it was time to start my healing process I had put off all of my life. As a child I had been abused myself. She purchased this book for me. The moment I started reading it I knew the pain Sue had described was extremely real. The best part about it was she did not sugar coat anything! She told it like it was not how people wanted it. She did use colorful words in which may have offended some but from personal experience there is nothing clean that runs through your mind when things like this are being done to you as a child! Sue used real life feelings, thoughts and emotions. That IS what you call a true story! When you tell it like it REALLY happened. For other people like me, you can relate to it and learn from what she did to get through this traumatic event! And seeing she had became the most amazing person in the end shows people like me that there IS HOPE, weather the abuse was as serious as Sue's or even mild cases which mine now seems now that I have read her TRUE story. For others who haven't been abused, it allows you to understand what its like. And to set an example of what was over looked in her life and that others don't make the same mistake. We all look for books that can really reach out and grab us, something we can relate to and ultimately let you feel everything the characters felt. This book does all of these things and soo much more! If you haven't had the pleasure of reading it then you need to!

Trophy Murders, Book 2 - creative non-fiction/crime fiction:
Delves into my vivid where did that come from imagination to deliver an action-packed crime story about a gang of serial killers; mixing in more truth as I continue the journey after going to live with Uncle Henry (the cop) and his heavy-handed wife, Olivia. A life I wouldn’t wish on any kid!

Author Sue Julsen continues her story in this second of her three book series.
The characters draw you into their lives as the drama "on the hill" is told. It is a masterpiece of intrigue, mystery, and passion.
Sue maintains her gift as a talented author, using details to illustrate the story so that the reader is drawn into the story, feeling the emotions on each turn of the pages.

Definitely another book you cannot put down once you start to read it!

Sue's message of raising awareness of neglect and abuse is heartfelt. Through her books she is reaching out to others to continue this message.

Cutter’s Revenge, Book 3 - (Bitter Memories) psychological thriller/crime fiction:
Brings a man believing he has amnesia, a sadistic psychopath, and more family secrets are revealed. This book was fun to write while it provided me with the perfect opportunity to get “revenge” against a few who made my life hell. Mixing truth with enough suspense to get the heart racing, my imagination runs as rampant as the stalking killer who brings terror around every turn! Although pure fiction on the revenge it does make for a pulse-pounding crime thriller. You just might find yourself listening for strange noises and things that go bump in the night when you enter Cutter’s Sadistic World...

I knew I wouldn't be disappointed! From the moment I saw the picture on the cover of the book, I knew I had to get started reading. The picture just begs you to open the book.
Of the three books, this is my favorite. I love to read a book that makes you want to keep reading and not put it down.
Seeing "Cutter's" victims through his eyes felt so real. I actually caught myself looking up to make sure I was in my living room and not his basement. This book is very good and you must read it. Along with the first two. The ending is brilliant! I cried, I felt horror, and I felt happy. Sue Julsen has a wonderful gift with words.
I look forward to reading whatever else she writes.

From The Heart: A Collection of Poems and Stories - non-fiction (not part of the bitter memories series)
Is a book that came from low points in my life while searching for inner peace. It seems I can’t write poetry unless depressed, but these poems are more thoughtful, not depressing. They are actual feelings from these times with short stories about what inspired each poem. Truly written “from the heart” I expose feelings never shared with another person until this book. Also in audiobook, and to listen as my written words are spoken by Beth MacEwan who narrated is totally awesome! For a breathtaking experience grab a copy of the audio version today.

By Sue Julsen

Native American and European cultures share a method of story telling that is not readily apparent to the casual modern person. Just telling a story, 'just the facts maam', is what we've grown used to because of the hectic pace of life we drive today. It's delightful and relaxing to the mind to receive information in the way Sue delivers it here, a biography interspersed with the poetry she wrote for those occasions. Our ancestors typically did this with songs.
This is the way humans should share stories. Though the overall tale is one of abuse, abandonment, addiction and moving beyond those issues I was not overly weighed down after completing it. Excellent work.

Next in the Bitter Memories Series (currently being written):
After Midnight, Book 4 - memoir

Will continue parts left out from the other books in the series. I expect, like the other three books, this one will also take on a life of its own before finished as I delve more into my life after leaving home, my involvement with my mother’s alcoholic sister and, what all my fans have been waiting for—I tell about my big brother!
This story is coming later this year, with a (surprise) BONUS! There will be two short stories added to the back of the book. One is non-fiction, the other is a fantasy!

You can read more reviews on amazon.com and also a few I added to my website.
