My first poem was written at age 9 after my mother's funeral, then I started my first novel before junior high. When I started writing my new fantasy story, it amazed me that I still remembered many of those character's names...read on to learn more...

From The Heart is a collection of fifteen poems written from events in my life, including short stories that inspired the writing of each poem. This book is also available in audio with Beth MacEwan narrating. Beth did an amazing job bringing life to each poem and story. The audio version is totally awesome!

My newest book: The Rose: A Tale of Fantasy is the first in this series introducing Hollymae, a girl who believes she'll eventually rule the City of Dar. But when her brother is born, she has doubts. She hates her brother more and more each day as his hair color begins to change. Still, being the oldest, Hollymae holds on to her dream.

On her father's death bed she learns her brother will be the new King because he possesses the golden hair of wisdom like their father.

Her father talks to Hollymae about the gift only she has. A special gift that gives her another purpose in life. He tells her she can't rule Dar, because she is to become Queen of the Beasts.

Hollymae doesn't know the full strength of her powers, or the many powers that hasn't even surfaced yet, but with her faithful companions beside her, she begins her quest.

The Rose is a very special book for me because I used many of the same names from the sci-fi I started writing as a kid. The same sci-fi my aunt found hidden in my closet, called it garbage, a waste of time and paper, and then tore it up in front of me. She didn’t bother to read it! But, here, using their names, those special characters live again!
